My inspiration for this collection stems from the iconic styles of Aaliyah, Beyonce and Lil Kim. I was mesmerized by their visually stunning and innovative music videos, each boasting their own iconic hairstyles. Aaliyah's sleek, dark-colored straight side bangs, Beyoncé's rooted platinum blonde locks, and Lil Kim's fearless experimentation with bold hair colors—all of them were pioneers in their own right, leaving me in awe whenever I caught a glimpse of them on TV or in magazines.

Back in those days before social media took over, I vividly recall eagerly staying up late to catch MTV or Much Music's world premiere of their music videos. And when they dropped new albums, you'd find me at HMV, snagging their CDs. It was an era filled with anticipation and excitement.

With this collection, I wanted to pay homage to these trailblazing women while infusing my own creative twist. Responding to the demand from my customers for wigs featuring side bangs, I saw an opportunity to blend the nostalgia of the 90s R&B/hip-hop era with a contemporary, global appeal. The result? A collection that celebrates the essence of that iconic era while making it accessible and relevant to everyone worldwide. I’d describe my ‘Hot Like Fire’ collection: Bold, Unapologetic, Nostalgic and Iconic
